Publication:
New Glyphs, New Writings
by Another Graphic
Typography is never neutral. This publication exposes it for what it truly is: a constructed system — shaped by tools, culture, technology, power, and politics.
Structured in four parts, New Glyphs, New Writings unfolds through critical writing, experimental design, and typographic subversion. It questions how we design type, what systems we follow, and whose voices we amplify — or exclude.
From rejecting industry-standard software to exploring ornamentation, script diversity, and the infrastructural politics of Unicode, the publication brings together a wide spectrum of perspectives — with contributions by Pentagram, Bye Bye Binary, Margot Lévêque, Morgane Vantorre, Charlotte Rohde, Clara Sambot, Laura Csocsán, Heikki Lotvonen, Rüdiger Schlömer, Lisa Huang, and more.
But this isn’t just content — the form reflects the method.
The publication consists of four parts:
A large folder houses three smaller nested folders. Inside each: three A4 sheets printed recto verso, folded, cut, or restructured; a 12-page stapled booklet; a zigzag-folded infographic; and a double-sided A2 poster. All held together with a textile blue rubber band.
The entire object is built on our visual identity system and typeset in Monotesk — modular, monospace, analytical. Every detail is intentional. Every constraint is embraced.
Printed in full-color CMYK, featuring our Another Graphic Blue (Custom PMS!).
